ladies and gentlemen, Good afternoon.

Today is a great day, an important day for the re-election of the 6th Ascian Society of Cryosurgery, and a new and vibrant ASC academic community is about to be born. Since the establishment of the Asian Society of Cryosurgery in Guangzhou in May 2012, it has been 10-years and it has become an internationally famous society. In the past 10 years, our ASC members have promoted the development of cryotherapy in Asia, benefiting more patients and covering more and more diseases.

In the past 10 years, ASC has held nearly 100 conferences, from large academic congress to small study classes, especially during the last 3 epidemic years, we through online exchange of various special activities on cryoablation treatment, including online lectures by Chinese and foreign experts, etc., cultivating a large number of cryotherapy clinical doctors. ASC organization had written the consensus of cryoablation therapy for lung cancer, liver cancer, kidney cancer and bone and soft tissue tumors, which fills the gap of cryotherapy, and plays a key role in guiding, promoting the cryotherapy. We have also published a number of papers and books, initially established a cryotherapy training system, and the training courses have greatly promoted the treatment technology.

The progress of cryotherapy has always been accompanied by the development of technical equipment and clinical practice, from the early single freezing to the current hot and cold multimodal ablation, Cryotherapy is no longer limited to local treatment, systemic immunotherapy of the whole body is also our goal. The approach of tumor cryotherapy also has from a single percutaneous roads to a natural cavity and other ways, and the treatment methods are more abundant.

In addition to tumor cryoablation, cryotherapy is also very effective for plastic surgery, organ preservation, blood processing, so on., therefore, the ASC academic community should be an open platform, including clinicians, equipment researcher and engineers to work together to improve development of cryotherapy.

As the 1st President of ASC and now the honorary President and the former President of International Society of Cryosurgery, I hope that our ASC members will be spread throughout Asia, and ASC be prosperity and have a better future!
